2023 Autumn: Lee Chung-yeol Invitational
Artist · Lee Chung-yeol
AUTUMN MOVEMENT
Lee Chung-yeol is a master of pressed-flower art. Pressed flowers (apwha) are compositions made by pressing and drying wildflowers, flowers, leaves and stems, commonly found in fields and mountains, by physical methods or artificial techniques such as chemical treatment, and then arranging them with an emphasis on a painterly feel. Lee’s works are full of interesting stories in every corner. Real wildflowers, not artificial ones, are attached to the works, along with birds, trees and butterflies. This autumn, we invite you to feel the deepening mood of the season as you view Lee Chung-yeol’s works at MetaCanvas.
